Trimlight and Gemstone are both real systems with longer product warranties on paper — Trimlight a lifetime product warranty (50,000 hours) with single-LED bulbs standard, Gemstone lifetime on the lights and ten years on components with RGBW pods. JellyFish is a 48-volt system with three individually addressable LEDs per light, a linear Saber option, and sunset-synced scheduling, backed by a 5-year parts warranty. In this market the bigger difference is who installs it: the nearest Trimlight dealers are in Parrish and Naples, and Florida's largest Gemstone dealer is in Wesley Chapel, about 70 miles north of Venice. Are the DIY kits any good?
For a straight roofline and a handy owner, a Govee-style kit is a real option. It's a plastic track and a strip, not color-matched channel and points of light, and adhesive in Florida heat is a recurring project. On a pool cage or a home with an HOA, it's usually the wrong tool.
Why not just hire a seasonal installer?
You pay every season and get nothing the other 340 nights. A permanent system is installed once and runs every night after that.
