Will it look "too much" when it's not a holiday?
No. Most customers use a soft, subtle white most nights. Color is there when you want it, not when you don't.
Are permanent Christmas lights worth it?
If you hire out the hanging every year or spend a weekend on a ladder, the system pays for itself in a few seasons. Then it keeps giving you the other 340 nights.
Can you see them during the day?

What happens in a hurricane?
The aluminum channel is fastened to the structure and the LEDs are sealed and low-voltage. The system is designed for outdoor use in exactly this climate, and individual lights are replaceable if one ever fails.
