What does pool cage lighting cost in Southwest Florida?
Every project starts at $4,500, and most projects land in the first tier, which fits a single pool cage. The price covers a finished job: the design, the JellyFish controller and LEDs, color-matched channel, the install by our own crew, and the app set up with your first scenes. Here is how projects usually break down.
| Tier | Typical range | What it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $4,500–6,000 | A pool cage, a front soffit, or a landscape package. Where most projects land. |
| Elevated | $6,000–10,000 | A larger cage, the full roofline, or the cage plus the front of the home. |
| Whole property | $10,000+ | Larger homes with several lighting zones usually land between $10,000 and $15,000. Commercial properties are quoted per site. |
The average Innovative Lighting project comes in just under $5,000. Your estimate is an exact number after we see the property.
What makes pool cage lighting cost more?
Two cages that look alike from the street can price differently. The perimeter of the cage is the biggest factor; its height and the number of separate zones matter too. These are the six things that move the number, in order:
- Linear feet. Roofline or cage perimeter is the biggest factor. A long, low ranch and a compact two-story can cost the same.
- Peaks and corners. Every gable and return adds cuts, channel, and time.
- Cage height. Tall or two-story cages need lifts and more careful routing.
- Lights or Saber. Standard JellyFish lights are the value option. The Saber Series is a continuous line of light and is priced per foot.
- Zones. Front and back on separate controls, or one zone for everything.
- Landscape fixtures. Path lights and uplights are priced per fixture and wire run.
What's included in the price?
There are no line items you didn't expect. A pool cage project in the most common range includes:
- A layout designed to your cage, not a kit, and one exact estimate
- The JellyFish controller, LEDs, and aluminum channel matched to the cage trim
- Professional install by our Venice crew, usually in about a day
- Wire routed out of sight and connected to house power
- App setup with your first scenes and a schedule that follows the sunset
- A local team to call afterward
How is pool cage lighting installed?
Individual lights go on the cage's horizontal members, the verticals stay dark, and an optional ribbon of light can run along the pool coping. The channel is trim-matched to the cage, so most guests never notice it during the day. The lights run on low voltage, and the controller and power connection sit away from the pool; every layout is designed to Florida's pool electrical code.
Our crew also builds and rescreens cages through our sister company, Gulf Coast Rescreen, so we know how a cage goes together, where the lights belong, and how they survive a rescreen. The lights are on the frame, not the screen. Most cages are done in about a day.
Is it worth it compared with string lights or solar lights?
Temporary lighting costs less up front, and that is its whole advantage. String lights sag, solar lights quit, and clips and cords never look clean on a cage. A permanent system goes up once, sits in channel that matches the frame, and runs on a schedule: on at dusk, off at bedtime, without anyone touching a switch.
The bigger difference is what you get every night. Warm white for a quiet swim, any color for a party, all from your phone. The lanai stops going dark at sunset and becomes a room you use.
How do I get an exact price for my cage?
Start with a quick consult; most of it happens by text. We rough in the layout from satellite, then walk the property and give you one number. Install dates usually open up within a couple of weeks of your estimate, and October and November fill first because of the holidays.
